Today,
September 18, 2008, I put my darling, sweet Jack to sleep. He began to
suffer late last night and even though I wasn't ready, he was.
He was 4.5 in April, 2003, when I found out he had cardiomyopathy and
it was
so bad that he should have died that day. From that point on, I
never knew
how many more days I might have with him.
Well, he beat the odds and would have turned 10 years old next month.
When he went
"Code Blue" in March of this year (2008), we almost lost him, but
brought him back with heart compressions. His heart specialist
prescribed new meds and we all hoped he would make it to the ABC Parade
of Champions in May.
He did that and more. Still, I wasn't ready to let him go, but I could
tell
he was tired of fighting. We just lost our old Teddi last week and now
it
was Jack's time.
He was a very special dog in so many hearts. He lived life to
the fullest
and was happy through so much. I will always treasure my time with him.
Rest in
peace. My heart is with you.
Romp with
our other boxers in heaven.
I know you'll have lots of balls to play with.

to owner constraints.
